The Commissionerate of Transport in Gujarat has come up with a new notification pertaining to the speed limits on various roads in the state. Under the new notification, the speed limit ranges from 50 km/hr to 120km/hr.
The new notifications specify the speed limit on the city and rural roads as well as the Express Highway and national and state highway passing through the state.
The speed limit for vehicles on Express Highway is 120km/hour while for national highway it is 100km/hr. On state highways, a vehicle can touch a minimum speed limit of 80km/hr. For corporation roads in cities, it is 65km/hr and for rural areas, it is 50km/hr
