NCP’s Reshma Patel and some BJP leaders verbally clashed in Rajkot during the filing of nomination for the civic body polls. The civic body polls for the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) will be held on February 21 and the last date for filing of the nomination is February 6.
Later, Reshma Patel was asked to step outside the office.
What happened during the clash with Reshma Patel
BJP candidates had come to the collector’s office in Rajkot to file the nomination. During the process, BJP’s Uday Kangad and NCP’s Reshma Patel got into a heated argument.
The argument got out of hand and both leaders reportedly abused each other. Police also tried to intervene in the matter. Later Patel was asked to step outside the office. NCP’s Reshaml Patel also accused the officials of being biased.
As per reports, the ward no 12 candidate of BJP was filling the nomination form when Reshma Patel picked up an argument over the mandate. She accused the BJP of bullying its way and the officials of being biased towards the ruling party.
Patel was later asked to step outside. She has accused the BJP of insulting women.
