Narayan Sai sought furlough on the grounds that his mother is suffering from life-endangering ailments and her heart functions only to the extent of 40% of its capacity due to a cardiac arrest that she suffered earlier.

Last month, Sai had filed for an interim bail of 10 days to meet his parents which is pending before the Gujarat high court.

The father of Narayan Sai – Asharam Bapu is lodged in a prison in Jodhpur in Rajasthan. He was convicted by the Rajasthan High Court for the sexual assault of a minor. Another case in Gujarat is under trial in Gandhinagar Court.
