Controversial cop DG Vanzara’s brother moves SC seeking to notify Sanskrit as national language

Controversial Ex-IPS officer DG Vanzara’s brother KG Vanzara has filed a PIL before the Supreme Court seeking to notify Sanskrit as the national language in continuation of Hindi as an official language.

The applicant of public interest litigation – KG Vanzara, has also served as an additional secretary in Gujarat. He is the brother of Ex-IPS – DG Vanzara who was last year discharged by Ahmedabad Sessions court in the Ishrat Jahan Encounter Case.

The PIL filed by Vanzara stated that” India should learn from Israel, how they have revived their 2000-year-old Hebrew language. Also, the level of the national language is higher than that of the official language, he claimed in PIL

Vanzara’s argument for Sanskrit

Vanzara sought the Supreme Court’s direction to the union government for notifying Sanskrit as a national language. He also said that Sanskrit language and literature are the invaluable heritage of this country.

Due to Sanskrit the brain memorizing, capacity in children will increase. Both the official and national language can be different without affecting the framework of the constitution, the PIL claimed.
