Justice Vineet Kothari takes oath as Gujarat High Court judge

Justice Vineet Kothari on Monday took oath as a judge of the Gujarat High Court. The oath ceremony was held in the presence of judges of the Gujarat high court and the law minister of the state.

According to a circular of Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court, members of the standing committee , law Minister – Bhupendradinh Chudasama and home minister Pradipsinh Jadeja were among those present for the oath ceremony.

The oath ceremony was telecasted live on Youtube.

Abut Justice Vineet Kothari

Justice Vineet Kothari got his farewell on January 2, a day after he was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court. Justice Sanjib Banerjee of Calcutta High Court was made the Chief Justice of Madras High Court.

Justice Vineet Kothari was appointed acting chief justice of Madras High Court following the retirement of the previous Chief Justice – Armeshwar Sahi.

The President of India after a consultation with the Chief Justice of India transferred Justice Vineet Kothari as a judge of the Gujarat High Court. Justice Vineet Kothari was appointed as a judge in Rajasthan High Court in 2005.

After 11 years as a judge with the Rajasthan High Court, he was transferred to Karnataka High Court in 2016. Then after he was appointed as Judge with Madras High Court.
