Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Thursday touched 1,84,964 as the state recorded 1,120 new cases. The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 26 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for nine days so far.
The state has carried out 54,624 tests in the last 24 hours. 1038 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 91.29%.
The state has in all recorded 12,321 active cases of which 69 are on ventilator support. So far 1,68,858 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw six fatalities due to the disease. Of these, three are in Ahmedabad, two in Surat and one in Vadodara.
Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, two were in AMC limits and one in SMC. With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 3,785.
The addition of three fatalities reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 1,931. The death toll has increased to 867 in Surat, whereas it remains 212 for Vadodara and 95 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 141 new cases being recorded while 42 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 181 new cases while it was 18 in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 88 and 38 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.
Gujarat COVID-19 other interesting statistics
The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 11 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 30 times, over 1,000 cases 25 times, over 900 cases 20 times and over 800 cases for six days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
54,624 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 840.37. The state has tested over 66 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
