Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Saturday touched 1,87,240 as the state recorded 1,124 new cases. The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 26 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for nine days so far.
The state has carried out 52,973 tests in the last 24 hours. 995 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 91.29%.
The state has in all recorded 12,512 active cases of which 71 are on ventilator support. So far 1,70,931 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw six fatalities due to the disease. Of these, two are in Ahmedabad and one each in Surat, Gandhinagar, Amreli, Banaskantha.
Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, two were in AMC limits and one in SMC. With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 3,797.
The addition of two fatalities reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 1,936. The death toll has increased to 869 in Surat, whereas it remains 212 for Vadodara and 97 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 143 new cases being recorded while 46 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 197 new cases while it was 17 in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 100 and 32 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.

The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 11 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 31 times, over 1,000 cases 25 times, over 900 cases 20 times and over 800 cases for six days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
52,973 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 814.97. The state has tested over 67 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
