A woman who was found in an unconscious state in Noblenagar by the Sardarnagar police has claimed that she was gangraped by some men.
The crime branch soon began investigating the matter and nabbed three people in this connection. All three are history-sheeters.
The woman, the mother of four, lives in Noblenagar with her husband. The cops found the woman lying unconscious in Noblenagar after locals informed them about it.
The woman was rushed to the hospital. Later the woman Lopa (name changed) told the cops that she had been gangraped.
How the gangrape happened
Lopa told the cops that she was in love with Kubernagar resident Mahesh alias Prem. She had gone to Mahesh’s house to meet him.
Knowing that she would be visiting him, Mahesh also called his friends to the house. The three then gangraped her and threatened her not to reveal the incident to anyone.
Lopa, who had by the time lost consciousness, was dumped near Noblenagar. Locals found her and informed the police. Cops later nabbed the three accused from the Saijpur Railway underpass.
The three have been identified as Mahesh, 26, Piyush Pandya, 36, and Sumit Thakor,25. Mahesh lives in Kubernagar while Pandya lives in Naroda. Sumit is a resident of Saijpur.
They were earlier booked for violence, chain snatching and a case of prohibition.
