Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Thursday touched 2,14,309 as the state recorded 1,540 new cases. Cases have gone past 1500 nine times while per day cases have crossed 1600 once so far.
The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 27 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for 13 days so far. The state has carried out 69,735 tests in the last 24 hours. 1,427 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 91.16%.
The state has in all recorded 14,913 active cases of which 96 are on ventilator support. So far 1,935,365 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw 13 fatalities due to the disease. Of these, nine are in Ahmedabad and two in Surat. Rajkot and Vadodara recorded one case each.
Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, nine were in AMC limits and two in SMC limits. With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 4,031.
The addition of nine cases reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 2,089. The death toll has increased to 910 in Surat, whereas it remains 221 for Vadodara and 103 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 207 new cases being recorded while 39 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 314 new cases while it was 22 in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 142 and 25 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.
Gujarat COVID-19 other interesting statistics
The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 12 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 32 times, over 1,000 cases 26 times, over 900 cases 21 times and over 800 cases for six days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
69,735 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 1072.85. The state has tested over 80 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
