Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Monday touched 2,09,780 as the state recorded 1,502 new cases. This is the seventh time that cases have gone past 1500. Per day cases have crossed 1600 once so far.
On November 20, the first time in over a month cases had once again crossed the 1400 mark. The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 27 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for 12 days so far.
The state has carried out 65,876 tests in the last 24 hours. 1,401 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 90.96%.
The state has in all recorded 14,970 active cases of which 83 are on ventilator support. So far 1,90,821 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw 20 fatalities due to the disease. Of these, 13 are in Ahmedabad and two in Surat. Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Vadodara, Mehsana, and Morbi recorded one case each.
Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, 13 were in AMC limits and two in SMC limits. With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 3,989.
The addition of 13 cases reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 2,062. The death toll has increased to 903 in Surat, whereas it remains 219 for Vadodara and 102 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 212 new cases being recorded while 54 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 291 new cases while it was 21 in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 147 and 28 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.
Gujarat COVID-19 other interesting statistics
The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 12 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 32 times, over 1,000 cases 26 times, over 900 cases 21 times, and over 800 cases for six days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
65,876 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 1013.48. The state has tested over 78 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
