Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Monday crossed the 2.47 lakh mark as the state recorded 698 new cases. Cases have gone past the 1500 mark 11 times while per day cases have crossed 1600 once so far.
The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 30 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for 14 days so far.
The state has carried out 47,995 tests in the last 24 hours. 898 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 94.61%.
The state has in all recorded 9,047 active cases of which 60 are on ventilator support. So far 234,558 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw three fatalities due to the disease. Of these, two are in Ahmedabad and one in Surat. Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, two were in AMC limits and one in SMC limits.
With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 4,321.
The addition of two cases reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 2,253. The death toll has increased to 972 in Surat, whereas it remains 231 for Vadodara and 105 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 102 new cases being recorded while 22 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 142 new cases while it was two in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 102 and 11 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.
Gujarat COVID-19 other interesting statistics
The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 15 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 37 times, over 1,000 cases 28 times, over 900 cases 26 times, and over 800 cases for 10 days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day eight times so far.
47,995 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 8738.38. The state has tested over 98 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
