Gujarat COVID-19 Update: 810 new cases


Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Monday touched 2,41,644 as the state recorded 810 new cases. Cases have gone past the 1500 mark 11 times while per day cases have crossed 1600 once so far.

The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 30 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for 14 days so far. 

The state has carried out 52,906 tests in the last 24 hours. 1,016 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 94.02%. 

The state has in all recorded 10,223 active cases of which 61 are on ventilator support. So far 228,144 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.

The state also saw six fatalities due to the disease. Of these, three are in Ahmedabad and one each in Surat, Aravali, and Patan.

Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, three were in AMC limits and one in SMC limits. With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 4,288.

The addition of three cases reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 2,235. The death toll has increased to 965 in Surat, whereas it remains 229 for Vadodara and 104 for Gandhinagar.

Surat city saw 121 new cases being recorded while 28 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 168 new cases while it was six in the district.

Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 93 and 11 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district. 

Gujarat COVID-19 other interesting statistics  

The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 15 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 37 times, over 1,000 cases 28 times, over 900 cases 26 times, and over 800 cases for nine days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.

52,906 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 813.94. The state has tested over 94 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
