Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Friday touched 2,33,263 as the state recorded 1,075 new cases. Cases have gone past the 1500 mark 11 times while per day cases have crossed 1600 once so far.
The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 30 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for 14 days so far.
The state has carried out 54,757 tests in the last 24 hours. 1,155 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 92.89%.
The state has in all recorded 12,360 active cases of which 64 are on ventilator support. So far 2,16,683 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw nine fatalities due to the disease. Of these, four are in Ahmedabad and three in Surat, and one in Rajkot and Vadodara each.
Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, four were in AMC limits and three in SMC limits. With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 4,220.
The addition of four cases reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 2,201. The death toll has increased to 949 in Surat, whereas it remains 227 for Vadodara and 103 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 139 new cases being recorded while 34 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 221 new cases while it was 11 in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 108 and 41 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.

The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 15 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 37 times, over 1,000 cases 27 times, over 900 cases 21 times, and over 800 cases for six days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
54,757 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 842.42. The state has tested over 89 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
