Aaquib Chhipa, Ahmedabad: A local court in Ahmedabad denied bail to an 18-year-old accused daughter who is accused of murdering her mother in the Amraiwadi area of the city.
The court while denying bail said that though the charge-sheet has been filed in the case, there is no change in the circumstances and all the documents are the same.
It said the offence is very serious and there are apprehensions that if the applicant-accused is released on bail, she may try to influence the witness or tamper with evidence.
How the murder happened
The public prosecutor submitted before the court that the accused daughter killed her mother and was later arrested for the offence.
The counsel argued that the accused was in relation with a boy which was opposed by her mother. The accused daughter eloped with the boy three years ago and was living away from her mother.
On June 21, the daughter visited her mother’s house and killed her. The incident was witnessed by her younger brother, who is also an eye witness in the incident. The accused has been in judicial custody since June 28.
An FIR was lodged with Amraiwadi Police Station against the accused daughter by the sister of the deceased. Based on the complaint, the daughter was booked under IPC 302 (murder), 328, 450, and various other sections.
