The Gujarat government has fixed the price of CT scans and HRCT- THORAX tests in the state given the surge in COVID. Now, laboratories and hospitals cannot charge more than Rs3,000 for these tests.
The new rates will be applicable across the state. Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani announced this following a meeting of the core committee. Rupani said CT scans and HRCT had become necessary for COVID patients.
He said it was brought to the government’s notice that laboratories were charging patients as per their whim. The government has also warned that if laboratories charge more than the prescribed rate action will be taken against them.
