BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in Ahmedabad on Saturday donated Rs2.11 crore to the treasurer of ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust’, for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Ishwarcharan Swami of Shahibaug Swaminarayan Mandir donated Rs2.11 crore to Swami Govind Devgiri, who is the treasurer of ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust’.
Swami Govind Devgiri said many generations could not but our generation will see the Ram Mandir. What was held on August 5 was not just Bhoomi Pujan but the beginning of the formation of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
While addressing the programme, Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani said the first yatra for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya started from Somnath in 1990. Earlier people used to mock us saying ‘ mandir wahi banayenge par tarikh nahi batayenge’ but now this sort of comment has become the incidents of the past.
Swami Govind Devgiri further added that over Rs1590 crore have been collected as a donation for Ram Mandir from January 15, 2021. The Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir on August 5 was the day of ‘Rashtra Nirman’. We will also contact Lord Ram devotees living in Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and Thailand.
Other donations for Ram temple
Former DySpP Tarun Barot and his family have also donated for the Ram Mandir. Tarun Barot donated a month’s pension for the construction of Ram Mandir, whereas his 93-year-old father donated Rs11,000 from his savings.
Kathakar Morari Bapu has donated Rs18.61 crore for the construction of the Ram Mandir. A Surat-based businessman Govind Dholakiya gave Rs11 crore for the temple.
We will reach out to four lakh villages and over 11 crore families to get funds for constructing the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. After centuries people have got an opportunity to do something of dharma, swami Govind Devgiri said.
