Thus, in the past 24 hours, the Gehlot government transferred 366 officers including the Rajasthan Police Service officers.

Ashok Gehlot’s transfer moves

Gehlot in the past 12 months has reshuffled the bureaucracy four times and this included the transfers of officials of both IAS and RAS.

In some cases, the reshuffle was done by lessening the burdens of some officials, who were holding several departments. This was because several officials went on deputations to the Union government.

Ashok Gehlot is also likely to expand his Cabinet after the second phase of the local body elections by the end of this month and a minor reshuffle of the officials would likely be done after that.
