Ashok Chaudhary has been appointed as the new chairman of Dudhsagar Dairy. Ashok Chaudhary will have a term o five years. His name was announced after a meeting of the board headed by election officer CC Patel.
Amrut Desai will be the vice-chairman for the first 2.5 years while Jashiben Desai will hold the post for the next 2.5 years.
The change in leadership in Dudhsagar Dairy comes after 15 years. Ashok Chaudhary led Parivartan Panel had won a massive victory in the recently held Dairy elections. Only two members of former chairman Vipul Chaudhary’s Vika Panel could win.
The Dudhsagar dairy has a yearly turnover of Rs5800 core.
Of the 15 seats for which elections were held, except for two seats from Vijapur, Ashok Chaudhary’s panel won all the rest 13 seats.
Vipul Chaudhary who had contested for the Kheralu seat lost to Sardar Chaudhary who won with a narrow margin of 13 votes.
Who is Ashok Chaudhary?
Ashok Chaudhary the new chairman of Dudhsagar Dairy originally belongs to Chitrodipura village in Visnagar taluka. He has also served as the president of the Mehsana Nagarpalika but was suspended after the rule that disqualified elected representatives with more than two children. He has also served as the director of the Gujarat Housing Board and was the director in Dudhsagar Dairy during his last term. He is also the face of the youth wing of the BJP in Mehsana.
