The state education board on Wednesday declared that the annual exams for standard 9th and 11th for the academic year 2020-21 will be conducted in June 2021.
The state education board in a circular also stated that the first term exams for the academic year 2020-21 for class 9 to 12 will be conducted between March 19 to March 27, 2021.
The annual exams for standard 9 and 11 will take place between June 7 to June 15 this year. The board further said the question papers for the first term exams of class 9 to 12 will be prepared by schools as per the paper style issued by the board.
The respective schools should only include the syllabus in question papers for which the teaching has been imparted. For the annual exams of classes 9 and 11, the question paper shall be prepared by schools with the 70% syllabus that was taught and as per the paper style decided by the education board.
Apart from this, 20 internal marks of the students will be based on their performance in the first term exams. Due to COVID-19, the state education board did not declare the academic calendar for the year 2020-21. Most of the teaching for the academic year 2020-21 was conducted virtually or through home learning.
Although physical classes for Class 9,10 11, and 12 have begun it is voluntarily.
