The Congress meanwhile has been hit by a wave of resignations. The party’s Nikol wing women general secretary has also resigned from the party.

Another blow for Congress

The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is contesting the upcoming local body elections in Gujarat and has asserted that it will contest from all the seats in the local body polls.

The party has said that it will perform well in the polls and emerge as a strong alternative to the ruling BJP. It has said that it will not remain confined to local body polls, but will also contest the Assembly polls in Gujarat.
