Gujarat on Thursday saw 1,034 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
This is the tenth time that the number of per day cases in Gujarat has crossed the 1,000 mark.
The overall number of COVID-19 cases has now crossed 67,000.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Gujarat now stands at 67,811.
The state has recorded over 1,100 cases seven times, over 900 cases eight times and over 800 cases for four consecutive days.
It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
Death due to COVID-19 in Gujarat
Gujarat recorded 27 new deaths due to COVID-19 on Thursday.
Of the total deaths, nine were recorded in Surat, five in Ahmedabad and Rajkot and three in Vadodara. Two cases were recorded in Kutch while Jamnagar, Mehsana and Valsad recorded one case each.
With this, the total number of deaths in the state stands at 2,584.
The COVID-19 death toll is 1,623 for Ahmedabad, 478 for Surat, 93 for Vadodara and 46 for Gandhinagar.
Surat recorded 234 new cases, while Ahmedabad had 151 cases.
Of the total cases recorded in Ahmedabad and Surat, 184 and 137 cases respectively were recorded within the city limits
Vadodara recorded 118 new cases while state capital Gandhinagar had 32 new cases.

The state has in all recorded 14,905 active cases of which 82 are on a ventilator.
Gujarat ranks 13th in new cases of COVID-19 being recorded across the country.
It ranks ninth in the number of active COVID-19 patients in India.
The state has conducted over 9.03 lakh sample tests for the disease while 4.85 lakh people remain in quarantine in various districts of Gujarat.
Of this, 4.83 lakh people are under home quarantine. The state said it is carrying out 377.98 tests per million.
