Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Wednesday touched 2,43,247 as the state recorded 799 new cases. Cases have gone past the 1500 mark 11 times while per day cases have crossed 1600 once so far.
The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 30 days now while it has recorded over 1,400 cases for 14 days so far.
The state has carried out 54,708 tests in the last 24 hours. 834 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 94.15%.
The state has in all recorded 9,979 active cases of which 62 are on ventilator support. So far 229,977 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw seven fatalities due to the disease. Of these, three are in Ahmedabad and one each in Surat. Rajkot, Vadodara, and Gandhinagar.
Of the total deaths in Ahmedabad, three were in AMC limits and one in SMC limits. With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 4,302.
The addition of three cases reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 2,241. The death toll has increased to 968 in Surat, whereas it remains 230 for Vadodara and 105 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 117 new cases being recorded while 30 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 157 new cases while it was seven in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 99 and 12 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.

The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day 15 times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 37 times, over 1,000 cases 28 times, over 900 cases 26 times, and over 800 cases for 10 days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day six times so far.
54,708 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 841.66. The state has tested over 95 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
