Gujarat COVID-19 figures on Saturday touched 1,31,808 as the state recorded 1,417 new cases. The state has recorded over 1,300 cases for 17 days now while it has recorded over 1400 cases for eight days so far.
The state has carried out 61,865 tests in the last 24 hours.
1,419 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 84.90%. The state has in all recorded 16,490 active cases of which 82 are on ventilator support. So far 1,11,909 patients have recovered from the disease in the state.
The state also saw 13 fatalities due to the disease. Of this, three were in Ahmedabad and Surat while two were in Rajkot and Vadodara. Bhavnagar, Gir-Somnath and Patan had one fatality each.
Of the total deaths in Surat and Ahmedabad, three were in AMC and two in SMC limits.
With this, the Gujarat COVID-19 fatalities stand at 3,409.
The addition of three fatalities reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 1,801. The death toll has increased to 756 in Surat, whereas it remains 179 for Vadodara and 77 for Gandhinagar.
Surat city saw 180 new cases being recorded while 117 were reported from the district. Similarly, the Ahmedabad Corporation area had 175 new cases while it was 20 in the district.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar corporations respectively recorded 95 and 15 cases. Interestingly, the city limits of Gandhinagar had fewer cases than the district.
Gujarat COVID-19 other interesting statistics
The state has so far crossed over 1,200 cases per day seven times. Gujarat has recorded over 1,100 cases 18 times, over 1,000 cases 19 times, over 900 cases eight times and over 800 cases for four consecutive days. It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
61,865 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as part of Gujarat COVID-19 with the number of tests per million per day now standing at 951.77. The state has tested over 41 lakh people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
