The Gujarat BJP’s parliamentary board meeting is going to be held on August 17 and 18 at its headquarters ‘Kamalam’. The meeting will be headed by the Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil.
It will be also attended by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and Union minister Parshottam Rupala.
Discussion on civic bodies and Assembly bypolls
Notably, the tenure of various office bearers in various civic bodies is coming to an end. During the two-day-long meeting, discussions are likely to happen on finalising the names for various positions in the BJP-ruled civil bodies.
This apart, the party is also likely to discuss the bypolls that are likely to take place in the state.
Notably, the bypolls are going to happen as Congress MLAs defected to BJP and tendered their resignations, which was accepted by the Speaker. The development took place in the run-up to the Rajya Sabha polls, which has been already completed.
CR Patil’s Saurashtra tour
After the meeting, Gujarat BJP president CR Patil will start his visit to the Saurashtra region. It will be his first visit after becoming the chief of Gujarat BJP.

He will visit various places in Saurashtra from August 19 to 22.
CR Patil to visit Somnath temple
As per the itinerary, Patil will leave Sinh Sadan at Sasangir on August 19 at around 8 am. His procession will reach the Somnath temple at around 9 am.
After taking blessings at the temple, he will head towards Junagarh city. There, he will hold a meeting with BJP’s office-bearers as well as cadres.
He will hold a meeting of the Junagarh district office bearers and then travel towards Jetpur. Patil will seek the blessings at Khodaldham temple before reaching Rajkot. The state president will be welcomed by BJP leaders in Rajkot.
Meetings in Rajkot
He will hold multiple meetings in Rajkot on August 21. He will also meet with various BJP office bearers in the district.
On the next day, he will travel from Chotila to Zanzarka and seek blessings at Savdhan temple before reaching Dhandhuka. Thereafter, he will leave for Surat.
