Gandhinagar: Twenty-four MLAs took oath as ministers in the all-new Gujarat Cabinet on Thursday afternoon. Of these, 10 ministers were sworn in as Cabinet ministers and 14 as ministers of state. With Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the strength of the current council of ministers in Gujarat is 25.

This is probably for the first time that all ministers of the previous government were dropped and were replaced by new faces.

The first meeting of the new Cabinet will be held at 4.30 pm on Thursday, the CMO tweeted. The portfolio allocation is likely to be announced at this meeting.
