Gujarat reports 24 COVID-19 cases, no death

Gujarat has reported 24 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Monday. The addition of the fresh cases has taken Gujarat’s total tally past 8.24 lakh. No death was reported in the state in the past 24 hours. Over 3.92 lakh people were administered vaccines on Monday until 5 pm.

According to the data compiled by the Union health ministry, 2.93 crore doses of the vaccines have been administered in Gujarat till Sunday. It includes 2.25 crore first doses and 67.89 lakh second doses.

5 fresh cases in Ahmedabad, 5 in Surat

Of the 24 fresh cases reported on Monday, five cases were reported from Ahmedabad, five cases were reported from Surat, four cases were reported from Vadodara, one case from Rajkot and no case was reported from Jamnagar.

Three cases were reported from Bharuch. This apart, one case was reported each from Junagarh, Banaskantha, Gir Somnath, Kheda, Valsad and Morbi.

With the addition of the fresh cases, the total COVID-19 case tally in Ahmedabad has increased to 2.38 lakh The total tally has reached 1.43 lakh in Surat, 78,480 in Vadodara, and 20,497 in Gandhinagar.

8.13 lakh COVID-19 patients discharged so far

According to the health department, there are over 443 active cases of the virus in Gujarat. Of this, six patients are critical and have been put on ventilator support. So far, 8.13 lakh patients have been discharged in the state after being treated for the viral infection. In fact, 74 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours.
