Gujarat reports 14 COVID-19 cases, no death


Gujarat has reported 14 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. The addition of the fresh cases has taken Gujarat’s total tally past 8.25 lakh. No death was reported in the state in the past 24 hours. The state’s death toll due to COVID currently stands at 10,079.

Over 4.63 lakh people were administered vaccines on Tuesday until 4 pm. Of it, 2.42 lakh belong to the 18-44 age group. According to the data compiled by the Union health ministry, over 4.32 crore doses of the vaccines have been administered in Gujarat until Monday. It includes 3.26 crore first doses and 1.05 crore second doses.

5 fresh cases in Ahmedabad, 4 in Surat

Of the 14 fresh cases reported on Tuesday, five cases were reported from Ahmedabad, four cases were reported from Surat, three cases were reported from Vadodara and three cases were reported from Rajkot. This apart, one case was reported each from Anand and Bhavnagar.

With the addition of the fresh cases, the total COVID-19 case tally in Ahmedabad has increased to 2.38 lakh The total tally has reached 1.43 lakh in Surat, 78,651 in Vadodara, and 20,511 in Gandhinagar.

8.15 lakh COVID-19 patients discharged so far

According to the health department, there are over 160 active cases of the virus in Gujarat. Of this, four patients are critical and have been put on ventilator support. So far, 8.15 lakh patients have been discharged in the state after being treated for the viral infection. In fact, 25 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours.
