The result for the Class 12 Gujarat Board general stream (arts & commerce) was declared at 76.29% on Monday. This is a 3% higher result than the 73.27% declared in 2019. Girls again outnumbered boys in the pass percentage. 82.20% of girl students cleared the exams against just 70.97% of boys.
Patan district had the highest pass percentage at 86.67% while the lowest result was declared for Junagadh which had a pass percentage of 58.26%. The exam centre with the highest pass percentage was Soni in Banaskantha where 97.76% of all the students who appeared for the exams cleared it. The exam centre with the lowest pass percentage was Dhodasa (Gir-Somnath) that had a pass percentage of just 30.21%. In all 260 schools across the state had 100% results while 56 schools had less than 10% results.
3.71 lakh students had appeared for the class 12 board exams in the general stream of which 2.83 lakh managed to clear the exams.
Surat had the maximum number of students with the A1 grade at 186 followed by Rajkot that had 108 students with the same grade. Ahmedabad had a mere 40 students who got the A1 grade.
