Vadodara: In an incident that could be a cause of major embarrassment for the Vadodara GST department, an officer of the GST office in Race Course area of the city has been accused of threatening to kill his junior after being allegedly caught red-handed in an objectionable condition with the latter’s wife.

A complaint in this matter has been registered at the JP police station.

As per available case details, the complainant, a native of Haryana, is employed as an inspector at GST Bhavan in Race Course area. He fell in love with his colleague, also a GST inspector, and they got married in 2018.

Things however soured between them and they had frequent fights. The complainant claimed that his wife used to assault him during their fights. Subsequently, they started living separately.

He alleged that his wife’s neighbours had told him that she used to get male visitors frequently. He stated that he had tried to reason with her, but was instead threatened with a false case.

As per the complaint, on August 15, he got information about a man at his wife’s house. He immediately reached there, but was shocked to find his boss in the bedroom.

The complainant alleged that the boss threatened him saying he was his boss and that if he tried to interfere in the relationship, he would be killed.

The complainant called the police control room, after which police arrived and took them to JP police station. They have registered a case of criminal intimidation and other sections of IPC and have taken up further investigation.
