The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board (GSEB) today announced the results of HSC Science and Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2023. The pass percentage for 12th Science has dropped to 65.58 per cent as against last year’s 72.02%. A total of 488 students from group A and 781 students from group B scored above 99 percentile.

GSEB, for the first time, has declared the result on WhatsApp number 6357300971. Student has to send his seat number to know the result. Students can also check GSEB HSC Science results on the board website, gseb.org.
For the first time the result has been declared in the first week of May. Morbi district stood first with 83.22 percent while Dahod district stood last with 29.44 percent.
This year, a total of 1,10,042 regular students took Class 12 Science final exam, out of which 72,166 or 65.58 per cent have been declared pass. This is a significant drop compared to last year’s 72.02% per cent.
A1, A2 grades scorers number decreased
The number of A1 grade scorers has gone down to 61 this year. Last year, it was 196. Similarly, the number of students with A2 grade is 1,523 which is significantly low compared to last year’s 3,303.
27 schools record 100 per cent result
A total of 27 schools have achieved 100 per cent result this year, meaning no student in these schools have failed the exam. The number of such school last year was 64. On the other hand, 76 schools have recorded 10 per cent or less result. Last year the number of such schools was 61.
Pass percentage drops.
The overall pass percentage in GSEB HSC Science result 2023 has gone down by 6.44 percentage points. Last year, the pass percentage of regular students was 72.02% per cent in HSC Science stream while it is 65.58 per cent this year.
The GUJCET was conducted on April, 3 at various exam centers across the state. More than 1.26 lakh students had appeared for the GUJCET.
