New Delhi: In wake of clean chit to Aryan Khan by Narcotics Control Bureau in the drugs-on-cruise case, the government has ordered appropriate action against Sameer Wankhede, the Mumbai NCB officer who had initially investigated the case, according to sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
An officer was quoted as saying that the competent authority has been asked by the government to act against Sameer Wankhede for shoddy investigation.
The NCB officer had earlier invited attention following claims of his caste certificate being fake.

NCB deputy director-general Sanjay Singh said there was an error by the first probe team led by Wankhede
