The timings of metro has been changed keeping in mind the facility of working people and students. Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has increased the frequency along with the change in the timing of the metro. Earlier the metro was available after every 15 minutes. Now, commuter will be in a position to get metro train every 12 minutes. This will provide relief and convenience to students and working commuters to reaching office, schools and colleges. Besides, on account of rise in the frequency the trips, to and from. According to GMRC number of trips will increase by 35 per cent.

This decision has been taken keeping in mind the people of Ahmedabad, including students, who leave early morning for work and business. The decision will be beneficial to people who are going for work in the morning. The increase in the frequency will provide convenience to thousands of passengers. On other side, Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation will also get financial benefit.
Currently metro service available from 7 am to 10 pm
Metro train connecting East and West from Thaltej to Vastral village and Metro facility connecting East and West from Motera to Vasana has been functioning in Phase-1 of the city. Currently, metro service is available from 7 am to 10 pm. People of Ahmedabad will be benefited due to increase in the frequency. Earlier, the corporation gave relief to the people by increasing the frequency on many occasions.
