In the Delhi violence case, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Gautam Gambhir has demanded action on Kapil Mishra for his provocative speech. Gautam Gambhir said, “No matter who the person is, whether he is Kapil Mishra or anyone else and belonging to any party, if he has given any provoking speech then strict action should be taken against him.”
There have been demands for booking Kapil Mishra, who failed to win Delhi Assembly election, for allegedly inciting violence by saying we will not listen to Delhi police if they failed to remove anti-CAA protesters whom he accused of aiming to disturb communal harmony. However, after clashes broke out on Monday, Kapil Mishra appealed for maintaining peace.
MP Gautam Gambhir reached Patparganj Max Hospital today to inquire about the conduct of DCP Amit Sharma injured in the Bhajanpura-Maujpur violent incident. DCP Amit Sharma was seriously injured in the Zafarabad violence, after which he was admitted to Max Hospital late on Monday night. At the moment, Amit Sharma’s condition remains critical. “This is unfortunate. Whoever has done this, strict action must be taken – whether from BJP, Congress or AAP. Kapil Mishra’s speech is not acceptable. This is about Delhi not about any political party,” Mr Gambhir said as he visited a hospital where injured policemen are being treated.
