Gandhinagar: Police Lathi Charge, Students Rush to Civil Hospital To Save Themselves

The students are protesting in Gandhinagar for the injustice done to them in the Bin Sachivalay exams. Students had gathered in lakhs and started their struggle for justice. The students had assembled for peaceful protests but the police, to supress the protest lathi charged the students and started detaining and taking students into custody and this further angered the students.

The policed had started detaining the students early in the morning and the protesters were also lathi charged. As per information obtained, the students who were on the way to attend their classes were also detained. The police had chased the students and took them into custody. Fearing arrest by the police the students started running to safety. To avert the police detention many students took shelter in the Civil Hospital, and many jumped high fences to escape the wrath of the police.

The police is trying to create an atmosphere of fear among the students to supress the protests and pour cold water over it. The students continued their protest despite the police action. PradipSinh Jadeja had called a press conference and said that action will, be taken within 2 days on the complaints of cheating and malpractices from across the state. What action the government will take, will only be clear in the coming days.
