Mumbai: The Supreme Court gave its verdict in the case of former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray vs CM Eknath Shinde in Maharashtra yesterday. The apex court had also questioned the role of the Governor in its verdict. The court said that floor test cannot be used to resolve internal party disputes. Neither the Constitution nor the law empowers the Governor to enter the political arena and play a role in intra-party or intra-party disputes. After the judgement of the Supreme court, Thackeray has fiercely targeted former Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

Former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray said, ” I think he should be prosecuted for the illegal work he has done. If the governor does not come under any law, it does not mean that he can do whatever he wants. Besides, Uddhav Thackeray said that this is an interim relief to the present government. The Speaker will have to take a decision on the matter immediately. If they announce any wrong decision, we will go to the court again.”
So what to say ? don’t resign..
On the verdict of the Supreme Court in connection with the political crisis in Maharashtra, former Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari said, ” I only know the parliamentary and legislative tradition and I did what I felt right at that time. When I receive the resignation letter, what would I have said that don’t resign, besides he said that the Supreme Court has proved in its decision that I take decisions to administer oath to Shinde ji and accept the resignation of the Chief Minister. There is no error in it.”
