The state meteorological department (MD) has predicted unseasonal rain in South Gujarat. Unseasonal rain, according to forecast by MD, will occur due to the Western Disturbance activates. The Forecast for unseasonal rain amid scorching heat state is going to face difficulties.

According to forecast by MD, Light rain accompanied with Light Thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speed less than 40 kmph is likely at isolated places in Gujarat. Kutch, Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Banas kantha, Dang, Tapi and Narmada districts of Gujarat will have light rain today.
According to the forecast Nizar and Kukarmunda taluka of Tapi district have experienced thunderstorm with hailstorm. Unseasonal rain has raised the concerns of farmers of the district.
But major parts of Gujarat will have no respite from scorching heat. According to the forecast, by MD, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara will have no relief in scorching heat. Central Gujarat will continue to reel under heat. It is predicted that the temperature will remain between 40 – 41 degree Celsius in most parts of the state.
According to forecast by Ambalal Patel, a meteorologist, there is also a possibility of hailstorm and rain in April. There will be severe heat after April 26. The temperature will touch 45 degrees and the heat will set a new record.
