Mumbai: A part of an under-construction flyover in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai collapsed on Friday morning, leaving 14 persons injured. No casualty was reported.
The incident is said to have taken place at 4.40 am. The flyover is being constructed to connect BKC main road with Santa Cruz-Chembur Link Road to ease traffic snarls on the east-west link. According to officials, it collapsed at around 4.30 am, according to police. No one has been reported missing. All the injured persons are believed to be workers employed at the site. They were taken to the VN Desai Hospital in Vile Parle and are said to be in a stable condition.
According to preliminary reports, the workers were working on the girder when it collapsed.
