A FIR has been lodged at Pataliputra police station on Thursday against election strategist and former JDU vice-president Prashant Kishor. Shashwat Gautam has said Prashant used his content for his ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ campaign. A case has been lodged under Sections 420 and 406 of the IPC.
Shashwat Gautam has alleged that Prashant plagiarized content from his ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ campaign. Shashwat, a former national coordinator in the Congress Party’s data analytics department during the Lok Sabha elections accused ace political strategist Prashant of stealing a campaign slogan, logo and data he had created for the Bihar assembly elections expected later this year.
After the matter came to light, Prashant strongly objected to such claims and FIRs and said that this is nothing but a claim and mischief made by a person to achieve his two minutes of fame and nothing more. Law and investigating agencies should investigate this matter fully and rapidly so that the truth can be revealed publicly.
Shashwat has also registered a FIR against a person named Osama. He alleged that Osama was working with him on ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ before resigning from the job. Osama was the student of Patna University. It is alleged that Osama gave all the content of the program to Prashant and he had put it on his website. Shashwat has also submitted some evidence to the police in this regard.
It may be noted that on January 20, Prashant Kishor launched the program ‘Baat Bihar Ki’. Within three hours more than 3 lakh people had joined this campaign of Prashant. On this occasion, Prashant had said that through this campaign, youth who want to change Bihar will be connected. A target has been set to add 10 lakh people to this campaign within the next 100 days.
