FIR Against Gujarat BJP leader’s Son for Raping Minor at Gunpoint


Former BJP general secretary and the village sarpanch (village headman) Son of Ramoda village in Rajkot district of Gujarat has been accused of raping a 19-year-old teenager living in the village. The BJP leader’s son first kidnapped the teenager with the help of his two friends and then raped her at gunpoint. After the matter came to light, a FIR has been registered against the accused at Kotda Sangani Police Station.

Amit Padalia, son of Rajkot’s former general secretary and sarpanch of Ramod village of Kotda Sangani Taluka, kidnapped a Dalit community girl living in the village with the help of his two friends Shanti Govind Padalia and Vipul Bhayala Shekhada. After which the girl was raped at gunpoint in the running car itself. After taking him to a secluded place, both friends of Amit Padalia also raped the girl. The accused showed a revolver to the victim and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the matter. At present, the victim has been admitted to the government hospital in Gondal for treatment.

After the matter came to light, the police filed IPC sections 363, 376 (d), 376 (2) (N), 504, 506 (2), 114 and GP Act sections 37 (1), 135 and Atrocity Act against the three accused. Under the case, they are investigating the accused. Giving information in this regard, SP Balram Meena said that a complaint has been filed yesterday. Medical examination of the victim has been done. The victim is being questioned. All the accused involved in the case will be arrested. Amit Padalia is a former BJP general secretary of Kotada sangani taluka involved in the gang rape incident. Amit’s mother Ramod is the sarpanch of the village. While the other Shantibhai is said to be the leader of the Congress. After the names of political leaders in the case of gang-rape came out, there has been a ruckus in the politics of Gujarat.
