Ahmedabad: In the city, nationalized banks to private banks, some people have deposited fake notes along with the original currency notes. Naturally, the fake currency notes cause a huge loss to the economy. But one can think that fake notes worth more than Rs. 14 lakh have been deposited in Ahmedabad alone, then how many fake notes might be in circulation in Gujarat and across the country, and what will happen to the decision wherein, a promise was given by the Modi government, for stern action against fake notes by a sudden demonetization.

The way more than Rs. 14 lakh worth fake notes have been received from different banks in Ahmedabad, the question has arisen if the banks are not able to identify the fake notes, then how the common man will be able to identify them. It may be noted that the Special Operation Group of the city crime branch has filed a complaint regarding depositing fake notes worth Rs 14.31 lakh in 19 different banks of Ahmedabad in a period of one year.
The most surprising fact is that children playing notes were also deposited in the banks along with the original currency notes. Fake notes have been found in various banks of Ahmedabad city during the last one year. Currently, SOG is in the process of further action by collecting these notes. As per the collection there are 205 fake notes of Rs 2000, 1585 fake notes of Rs 500, 569 fake notes of Rs 200, 1095 fake notes of Rs 100, 102 of Rs 50, eight of Rs 20 and ten of Rs 10.
People deposited fake notes, worth Rs.14.31 lakhs, with HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bank of Baroda, DCB Bank, Saraswat Bank, AU Small Bank, Kalupur Bank, Yash Bank, IDBI, Abhyudaya Operative Bank, Gujarat State Cooperative Bank, IDFC First Bank , State Bank of India, Reserve Bank of India and Karnavati Bank.
