Bihar: Empty liquor bottles found in Assembly premises

Patna: Empty bottles of liquor were found on the premises of Bihar Assembly, prompting the Opposition to launch an attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, demanded Nitish Kumar’s resignation as well as implementation of total ban on liquor in the state

“If liquor is present in the Assembly premises, it is the moral responsibility of the chief minister to quit his post,” said Yadav.

Just a day earlier, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar gave their support to Nitish Kumar’s decision to ban liquor in the state.

“I will tell Chief Secretary and DGP to get an inquiry done. It is not an ordinary thing if the bottles came here. The one who is doing this should not be spared. Strict action should be taken,” he said.

Tuesday was the second of the five-day winter session of the state Assembly which concludes on December 3.
