After the arrest of Yuvraj Singh Jadeja yesterday in the dummy candidate exam case, SOG team has arrested Kanbha Gohil, brother-in-law of Yuvraj Singh from Surat. Bhavnagar police has been informed about the arrest. SOG team has left for Bhavnagar with Kanbha Gohil.

Earlier, Bhavnagar police arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and question paper leak scam whistle-blower Yuvrajsinh Jadeja late on Friday night. Police questioned him for 8 – 10 hours in relation to the recent dummy candidate exam scam. Jadeja has been accused of extorting Rs 1 crore from the accused in the scam.
Bhavnagar Local Crime Branch (LCB) official said, “Yuvrajsinh Jadeja was arrested at 11 pm on Friday. The other five accused in the new case are yet to be arrested.” The Special Operations Group (SOG), Bhavnagar, had initially summoned Jadeja for questioning on April 19 but he had sought two days’ time citing a “medical emergency”.
On April 14, the Bhavnagar LCB arrested four people for their alleged involvement in a racket where dummy candidates were sent to appear for government recruitment examinations and board examinations in Bhavnagar district. According to the police, the accused had also sent dummy candidates for the junior clerk recruitment examination conducted by the state government last Sunday.
