The campaign was launched on the advice of the party’s poll advisor Prashant Kishor. The campaign was launched after Kishor’s I-PAC team found that DMK has very few members below 30 years. In fact, DMK president MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi is 42-years-old. The latter heads the party’s youth wing.

The party went on to claim that the drive has inducted over four lakh members in just ten days. However, the leader went into shock after knowing that the drive has been played by unknown pranksters who would be responsible for inducting Trump and EPS as the party members.

DMK said that it is aware of the problem of fake memberships being taken online and is trying to rectify the problem.
