Former U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to be arraigned at a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday following his indictment on criminal charges after a probe into hush money paid to a porn star. The Manhattan grand jury that indicted Trump heard evidence for months this year about a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in the waning days of the 2016 presidential campaign. Daniels has said she was paid to keep silent about a sexual encounter she had with Trump at a Lake Tahoe hotel in 2006. Trump denies having had any such relationship with her.
According to the information given to Reuters by a source , the former US President will be formally arrested and charged with 34 Class E felonies for falsification of business records. However, he will not be handcuffed, placed in a jail cell, or subjected to a mug shot, a source said while speaking about the procedures. With this, Trump is the first former US president to face criminal charges.
