Since Sunday on Febuary 23 the pro-CAA groups had assembled at Maujpur metro station while the anti-CAA protesters settled down about a kilometre away, at Jafrabad metro station.
Hearing is going on in Delhi High Court over the violent clash between supporters and opponents of the Citizenship Amendment Act. During the hearing, the court said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia should visit the violence-hit area “for confidence-building among people”. The Delhi HC said, “We can’t let another 1984 happen, not under watch of this court.”
During the hearing on violence in Northeast Delhi, the High Court said that the conditions outside are very bad. Apart from this, the statement of BJP leader Kapil Mishra was also narrated in the High Court on the Delhi violence case. During this time the Solicitor General, DCP Dev and all the lawyers were present. After watching the video, the court asked the Solicitor General to ask the Commissioner of Police to register an FIR in connection with the speeches allegedly made by BJP leaders.
