An incident of firing has taken place in Delhi’s Saket court complex today morning. A woman who reached court to give her statement got seriously injured in the firing. One girl also injured in the firing. She has been admitted to AIIMS hospital for treatment in critical condition. According to the information received, the accused, disguised as a lawyer, opened fire and fled from the spot.

The accused entered the court premises posing as a lawyer, according to the information, the accused fired four rounds at the girl that hit her stomach and other parts of the body. A Delhi Police SHO present on the spot took the girl to AIIMS in a jeep and admitted her for treatment. According to media reports, she was rushed to AIIMS, and her condition is said to be ‘stable.’ The accused who fired has been identified, who is being told as a history sheeter.
According to media reports Chandan Chowdhary, DCP South confirmed the shooting. He said, “Two persons, a woman and a lawyer, have suffered bullet injuries in the firing incident.” .
Meanwhile, Special commissioner of police Sagar Preet Hooda, said the attacker was a suspended lawyer who had a dispute with the woman and, therefore, fired at her. He was dressed in a lawyer’s uniform, the officer added.
Following similar attacks in Delhi earlier, the security has been beefed up. Questions are being raised that despite security arrangements, how someone entered the court premises with a gun.
