Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah today. The meeting will take place in North Block at 2.30 pm. This will be Amit Shah’s first meeting after the swearing in of CM Kejriwal. However, the reason for this meeting is not special and it will be a courtesy meeting.
Earlier, after returning from Varanasi tour, PM Narendra Modi tweeted and congratulated Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to become the Chief Minister. PM Modi wrote in his tweet, I congratulate Kejriwal for taking oath as the CM of Delhi. Many wishes to him for a meaningful tenure. Earlier, PM Modi had congratulated Kejriwal even after winning the Delhi Assembly elections. After this, Delhi CM Kejriwal, while replying on the tweet, wrote that thank you sir, I hope we will work together to make Delhi a world class city.
Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal was sworn in as chief minister for the third consecutive time on Sunday at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. For the first time he had sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi in 2013 when he formed a government in Delhi with the support of Congress. After this, there was a re-election in the year 2015 and this time the Aam Aadmi Party had won 67 seats out of 70 with a bumper victory and Kejriwal was sworn in as Chief Minister for the second consecutive time.
