The terror of deadly corona virus in China is not taking the name of ending and the number of people dying from it as it is increasing day by day. The death toll in China due to the novel corona virus epidemic rose to 1,000, while so far a total of 42,708 cases have been confirmed. On Tuesday, the World Health Organization (WHO) held a meeting in Geneva. The purpose of the meeting is to expedite the investigation of all cases. This includes providing medicines and vaccines and preventing its infection which has already reached 20 countries.
108 died in a day
According to Chinese health officials, the number of people who died due to infection with the virus reached 1,017 till Monday and 42,708 cases have been reported in China so far. At the same time, 390 cases have been confirmed abroad. China’s National Health Commission reported that 2,498 confirmed new cases of corona virus infection and 108 deaths were reported from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on Monday, the highest number of deaths in a single day. News agency Xinhua quoted the National Health Commission of China as saying that there were 103 deaths in Hubei Province and one each in Beijing, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Anhui and Henan.
Drop in new cases
China’s National Health Commission said that 3,536 new suspected cases were reported on Monday. According to official data, a slight decline in new infected cases was recorded on Monday. Meanwhile, the Chinese government has removed many officials in Wuhan from the post for being negligent in dealing with the spread of the virus.
WHO team reached China
A team of WHO international experts led by Bruce Aylward (veteran of emergency health conditions) arrived in China on Monday night. WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that some of the WHO’s international experts have reached China and they will fight the Corona Virus (NCP) with China. Ghebreyesus said that there are 10 to 15 members in the expert team. They will work with Chinese colleagues. The team started discussions with Chinese health officials on Tuesday to tackle the outbreak of Corona virus. A meeting of 400 scientists is being held in Geneva on 11-12 February in which various aspects of the virus will be discussed.
The team will investigate the virus
The responsible officer of the WHO’s Health Emergency Project, Markle Rayan, said that this time the objective of the expert team is to learn. They will not only gain more knowledge about NPC, but will also learn about how to test the virus by Chinese scientists and will also learn about the public health system in China.
