The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct exams for the 29 remaining subjects in the first two weeks of July. The exams had to be postponed because of the nationwide lockdown. The Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry in a tweet announced that the remaining exams will be held between July 1 and 15. The board exam results are expected in August.
The CBSE exams were held till March 18 but had to be stopped due to the total lockdown. Though exams for over 80 subjects were pending the board has decided that exams for only 29 main subjects will be conducted. This is expected to speed up the evaluation process.
Earlier the ministry had announced that the engineering entrance exam JEE Main and the medical entrance exam NEET will be held from July 18 to 23 and July 26 respectively. So far it is not known whether CBSE schools abroad will be able to carry out the remaining exams.
