Custodial Deaths: Gadhvi community calls Mundra Bandh

Following the death of two men booked for theft and badly beaten in police custody at Kutch’s Mundra police station, the Gadhvi community has called for a Mundra Bandh on Monday demanding action against the cops responsible for the death. The community has also sought the cooperation of all traders’ associations for the bandh.

Notably, the men were allegedly beaten badly in the police custody and when their condition deteriorated, they were admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad in a critical condition where one of them died on Saturday night.

What the Gadhvi community leaders are saying?

Gadhvi community’s president Vijay Gadhvi alleged that three men of the community were beaten badly by the cops from Mundra police station without any evidence against them. No action has been taken against the three cops responsible for the death.
